Soho Mews

Today's mani is somewhat boring but sometimes I need that. I need my mani to be quiet and boring. You know this feeling? Anyway, today's mani is Nails Inc Soho Mews - from the Leather Effect collection.

This mani started with two thin coats of Nails Inc. Soho Mews, a tan colored polish with texture. Leather Effect. I suppose the difference between the leather effect and the regular "sands" is the size of the particles. In the leather effect polishes it seem to look smaller. But it is possible that I only have imagined it too. Personally - I don't see any resemblance to leather in this polish. Apart for the weird color maybe. No issues with application or drying at all. This could have been a perfect polish - except... it's boring...

Naturally, after 30 minutes of wearing this color, I got too bored. But I couldn't just replace the entire mani so I added some colorful tips using the Zoya Summer Pixie Dusts: Beatrix on my Thumb, Destiny on my index, Miranda on my middle finger's nail, Stevie on my ring and Liberty on my pinky. I also added this dot at my nail beds, although I am not sure it's needed. Oh well, it had to be a boring mani. I told you that already, didn't I?

So what is your boring mani? Do you ever feel like you need one? What do you think of the textures?

Well the first polish is just... mhew! The color suits your skintone, but the nails seem just an extension of your flesh and it's... bizarre! However, the colorful tips add this little craziness of yours and it's lovely! A calmer (better than boring) manicure feels so good sometimes :)

Glad to hear that someone else gets bored very quickly. I did a very very subtle gel this morning, and five minutes after finishing it was wondering what I could do with it.
