Come To Me - Fever Lacquer

I have a love-hate relationship with metallic polishes. I really love. I do. But just... not as the main theme in my mani. It's gorgeous as some decoration, some nail art, stamping... but to make me want to use them as my base, they really have to be very special. Today I have such special polish to show you. This is Fever Lacquer - Come To Me.

Come to me is a beautiful metallic blue jelly with blue and green shimmer that give it this yummy taste of the sea. When I put this polish on, all I could think of was Ariel the little mermaid. I know I will have to wear this polish again soon and do a mermaid nail art over it!
Some technicalities before I let the photos speak - it applies nicely with no issues at all. What you see here is two coats and it was enough for me, but when you look closely, especially in the direct sun photos, you can see some VNL (Visible Nail Line) so I am sure a third coat wouldn't harm. I was just being lazy. As with most metallics, you get to see some brush strokes, but they are very minor in my opinion and most of them can be smoothed with some top coat.

I stamped the fishies using Cleankolor Metallic Sapphire and added some small rhymestones in green, light blue and clear colors. The stamping is much easier to see in person because the metallic polish reflects the light when I try to take a decent photo of it. But still it's a subtle stamping just for that special touch of the sea.
You can find Come To Me and other Fever Lacquer polishes at Casandra's store on line, where you can also find her beautiful eye shadows. Make sure you follow her blog and her facebook page, to get all the information and updates!

And just before I go, I'll leave you with this beautiful song that this polish reminded me of. It is called Fight The Sea and it is by Josh Woodward.
Enjoy!
